IBM 5150 motherboard  -  Use of '2364 Adapter'

On the IBM 5150 motherboard, an adapter that will work with 2764, 27128, 27256 and 27512 EPROM's (or 27C64/27C128/27C256/27C512) is advertised at https://store.go4retro.com/2364-adapter/
That adapter is described as "2364 Adapter".  From a reading perspective, the 2364 ROM is pin compatible with the BIOS ROM used on the IBM 5150 motherboard.  I have one of these adapters, and it works.
Note that the seller offers either the PCB alone, or a complete unit.

A photo of that adapter in socket U33 of an IBM 5150 motherboard is at here.

Note that the adapter can also be used in sockets U28 through U32, the sockets that hold the ROM's for Cassette BASIC.

Warning #1

The subject '2364 Adapter' ties pins 1, 26 and 27 of its 27xxx EPROM socket to Vcc (via a pull-up resistor).  Therefore, when this adapter (as supplied) is used on the IBM 5150 motherboard, the 5150 motherboard will only see/use the last 8 KB block within 27128/27256/27512 EPROM's.

For example, if you obtain an image file for the second Cassette BASIC ROM, that file is expected to be 8 KB sized.  If your plan is to use a 27C256 EPROM (i.e. 32 KB sized) together with the subject '2364 Adapter', then when programming/burning the 27C256, the image file (8 KB sized) needs to go into the last 8 KB block of the 27C256 EPROM (i.e. 32 KB sized).

Alternatively, what you could do is quadruple the 8 KB sized image file, which would create a 32 KB sized image file for the 27C256 EPROM.  An example of how to do that is at here.

Warning #2

The seller of the subject '2364 Adapter' also offers another adapter, the '23XX Adapter'.  They are not the same thing.  The '23XX Adapter' can only be used on the IBM 5150 motherboard if you configure it appropriately, which requires some soldering.  Of the six configuration options, shown at here, use either:
•  2364 - !CE1
•  2364 - !CE1 (Alternative, no ‘138 needed)

( The other 2364 option, 'CE1', is unsuitable for the IBM 5150 motherboard. )

Warning #3

As pictured below, when the subject '2364 Adapter' is used in socket U33, the adapter has a very close fit against the stock floppy drive.
