Note: If you have not already done so, make sure that you run the
AVGA2 Drivers/Utilities INSTALL program to decompress \MISC to a
designated disk drive. For example:

        install c:\avga2 misc

Setting Up ColorRIX to use the AVGA2 Extended Modes
---------------------------------------------------

Copy RIXVIDEO.DSC to your ColoRIX directory and ColoRIX will
recognize the following AVGA2 extended modes:

640x480x256 Colors
800x600x16 or 256 Colors
1024x768x16 Colors

Setting Up VPIC ver. 4.0 and Above to Use the AVGA2 Extended Modes
------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: If you want to preserve your original VPIC executable and
configuration files, rename the VPIC.EXE and VPIC.CFG files. For
example,

        REN VPIC.EXE OLDVPIC.EXE
        REN VPIC.CFG OLD.CFG

Copy VPIC.CFG from the \MISC directory of the AVGA2 Drivers/
Utilities Diskette to the VPIC directory on your hard disk and run
CONFIG.EXE to modify the VPIC.EXE file. For example,

        CONFIG VPIC

Run CVPIC.EXE to view the new changes in VPIC.EXE. You may have to
run CVPIC.EXE a second time to implement the new settings. This
should now display the following AVGA2 extended mode parameters,
including some of the Standard EGA/VGA parameters:

AVGA2 ;Board name
PARADISE ;Chip set
